about what you like to do, you need to be careful in your decision on which investment are you going to put it as a startups, and if you are  active in btcjam, isn't this site of yours had an controversial issues. Why don't you search it first. But I would suggest you to invest in a legit altcoin with has promising project up to now.
As btcjam is not good the same nowadays he do not need to invest in any other altcoin because the income will not be that much higher only if he want to invest in some ICOs as they often contain have a high potential to make higher amount of profit. While the best option is to store your bitcoins for longer in your wallet to get the profit as the price of bitcoin increases.
