Also I'd be willing and expect the lender to change the passwords of any account that would be used for collateral, during the agreed time. So I don't get how I could get them back.
And if this is the case then I don't understand why people offer their bitcointalk accounts as collateral. Wouldn't those be reversible too? So anyone offering that is trying to bait and switch like me?
You simply call up Paypal, say you were hacked, and give them a history of your email, credit cards and whatever else they ask to prove it is you. Then the password is changed back to your control.
That wouldn't work here, because Theymos has strict guidelines on what needs to be done to recover an account.
