The problem is that they never expected Trump to win (or Hitlery to lose). Trump's victory came as a shock (especially his victories in the blue leaning states such as Wisconsin and Michigan) to these people and they are unable to fathom it even now. But that is what happens with the elections. There can only be one winner.
