Oh boy, looks like this coin was made to infect or the windows compiler had different plans.

Inital scan results that increase after a few days indicates it is more than likely a virus or trojan.

I've been running it since day 1 and haven't seen anything odd.  I'll run it tomorrow on another computer in a sandbox and report back on the sandbox contents.

Did you compile yourself or are using the provided windows wallet ?
I'm using the one provided at the start of this thread.

Same here. Apart from the difficulty spike that was mentioned previously no other problems so far.

If any of you are serious about buying I have some here. PM me.

Here are the results of my investigation through a sandbox.

Files Created:

I imported the registry hive that was created in my sandbox as "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\RegHive" and meticulously searched for anything that was related to more than just the sandbox.  I've done this many times and am familiar with what Sandboxie creates regardless of what I'm running.

Registry Entries Created/Modified by geertcoin-qt.exe:
  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\RegHive\user\current\software\Geertcoin\Geertcoin-Qt]
    "bImportFinished"="true"
    "nWindowPos"="@Point(535 265)"
    "nWindowSize"="@Size(850 550)"

That's everything I found.  I realize this isn't conclusive, but at least we know it's not installing a rootkit or other discrete malicious file.  I'm perfectly comfortable running it.
