If you do an airdrop it is a slap in the face of the current miners and you are giving the message that people dont have to mine anymore bit rather wait for free coins. Why pay for something if you can get it for free right? If you do an airdrop it will be bad for your business plan and the coin will fail.
If you do go ahead with an airdrop everyone will know you are not serious.
