Incorrect. the unit of measurement for term deposits and interest in general has always been block height. Date/Time calculations were added as a convenience factor but were always an estimate based on number of blocks generated. When initiating a TD, the wallet will tell you the exact block height the funds will be released at, likewise the TD table will also show the exact block height an existing TD will mature (and also an ESTIMATED date)
