OP posted this when price was around $450. today it is @ $1147. that is +250% in 10 months.

that is sadly why we all end up doing. we just turn into 100% investors who just hold bitcoin to sell at some point and take the fiat to use. and bitcoin stops being a currency if we continue this way and price will also take a big hit if this happens.
op clearly asked for investment advice. if we all stop investing in btc, what do you think would happen to the price? another important point is that in order to reach mass adoption, price must be way higher than now. so no, not sad but good. if price is high, utility will develop.
