Really?! They have a freakin cat island and rabbit island. It seem to be a domestic problem rather than society in general. China though... Let's forget for a while that they eat dogs, they can argue that it's part of their culture but really, rhino horns, bear and cobra gall, tiger paws? The gov't should at least do something with regards to endangered species but unfortunately regulation is lax and most of it comes abroad anyway, like ivory for example. Maybe they should do a shame campaign to make it look not cool? Much of it goes into traditional medicines after all.

Speaking of ivory, my country Philippines also seem to be an offender as well. We don't kill endangered species on large scale for food or quack pills, we make them into something holy - religious figures. And IMHO that makes it 1000x worse than the Chinese !
