What is so scary about contacting your own subconscious? I say we should let the truth about the mind be revealed, you will not be deceived by demons if you practice self-inquiry and self-hypnosis, both are proper tools in the life of the seeker but religions will normally work to supress the truth about personal power.
The danger is this. We have trouble finding truth with people. How are we going to determine truth if we contact spirits?
The inner mind has always held ways to contact spirits. The complexity of mind is one of the things that keeps spirits out. When we open up the parts of the inner to direct contact from our outer mind, we open up contact with the spirits.
We have very little control of inner mind. The spirits are often deceptive, teaching things outside of the realms of things that we can control easily. They can open us up to false things as well as true things, but we won't know the difference.
In addition, the complexity of the mind is so great that we don't easily understand what we are looking at when our inner mind feeds us some of its own data.
Stay away from contacting your inner self if you want to stay away from opening up a path for spirits to feed you their information. You won't be able to distinguish the truth from falsehood. Many people that have done this, have gone insane, or else lost control of their own thinking and belief system.
That is exactly the time when you lose your mind.
There are no spirits. That is the reality.
When you talk to God, you are religious.
When God talks back to you, you are insane.
When you think that God doesn't exist, you are religious.
When you don't accept the proof of the existence of God that nature and science show, you are insane.

BADecker is a lunatic. He convinced himself that his twisted half truths about entropy, cause and effect and Bible text are absolute proof that God exists, and he fails to accept the fact that Bible is a collection of writings by 40+ uneducated bronze age people, written over the course of 2500 years. On top of that he denies evolution, the age of Earth and the age of the universe. He conveniently ignores the fact that entropy here on Earth has been decreasing, thanks to the constant energy input from the Sun.
Basically, he is delusional. He needs decades of deprogramming to get him out of that 'thinking framework' that his cult put him in.
I think the scientific discussion should end when a person says that Earth is 6000 years old, or that we did not evolved from monkeys.
When I confronted BADecker about the age of Earth by showing him pictures of 9000+ years old, LIVING trees in Sweden, he said that people who counted the rings made a mistake, then he implied that maybe the trees grew more rings per year in the past (because of entropy etc...).
When you show him evidence of neolithic sites that are 10000+ years old, he will ignore it and say that the age cannot be determined, wait for it, because Bible says the Earth is 6000 years old and the flood happened 4000 ago so it is not possible.
I think he sits on the fence about the flat Earth model as described in the Bible. I'm not sure he has a story about that. Probably will say that Bible describes accurately the whole universe. Just like Muslim morons claim that Quran has scientific truths etc.
All religious people are delusional, the question is how severe the delusions are.
