The most important thing about bitcoins is that when u buy things with bitcoins you dont have to give tax . It is very important to note that bitcoin is being widely used in the deep web for different purposes.other than that bitcoin is being used for other different purposes also like shopping , buying stuffs from the internet.
From what I know, the government has no control over bitcoin so bitcoin itself doesn't have taxes, we don't have to pay taxes for it but taxes are imposed on every product that we buy and use. So there is no way of escaping from duty. But I do agree that bitcoin is quite popular in deep webs for various things like gambling, buying drugs,etc.
