Our team is actively monitoring Dash as an investment vehicle, we are interested, but wary at this point.

You should be wary.  A16Z won't be happy if you buy into a scam at the top of a pump.

Here's a great summary of Dash's issues.

During the first day 2M coins were mined, and as of today, less than 3k are mined daily. Even if there were no features/community at the time, he didn’t relaunch and decided to keep his instamine, claiming that the community told him to do so. Having a fair launch is very trivial for the future of a coin, because a premined coin has only one future : to make the creator rich.

Oops, I'm sure the Instamine was just an honest mistake.  But it couldn't be corrected Because Reasons And Stuff.

t the time this article is being written, the ROI for each masternode is above 8% per year. Getting such high returns, for doing so little, is a massive red flag. Your dash isn’t collateralised and there is no risk of losing it.

Reward without risk?  Seems legit.

Well, besides the risk of running what's essentially a money laundering and (unlicensed) MSB.

Lucky we have legal team who have already determined that MNs are legally fine! - sorry you were on some other coin, cant remember its name anymore.

Your lawyers aren't the SEC officials and judges who will make the final decisions about Masternodes' illegal HYIP, money laundering, and MSB status.

And that legal opinion only applies to one jurisdiction.  Are you going to centralize all the Masternodes in the city where your lawyer lives or get an opinion for every jurisdiction where Masternodes are hosted and/or Masternode owners reside?
