Have you checked out the unconfirmed transactions lately? It does not appear the problem of scalability is anywhere near close to being resolved. Segwit is far from the 95% support needed and Bitcoin Unlimited doesn't have the 51% needed to bully their way into acceptance.   I'd only recommend HODL if you are small fry like me, who owns less than 1 BTC ATM, and are only doing this for entertainment value. If this scalability problem isn't resolved. BTC has zero chance for mass adoption, even if the Winklevoss EFT gets approved and the IPO raises the hundreds of millions hoped for.
