I used to think that the instamine was a bad thing, but now I'm really glad it happened. Three years ago, Evan Duffield quit a six figure job to work full time on Dash. Do you really think he would have stuck around if he didn't have a decent stake in the project? Because the instamine happened, Dash (then Xcoin) was effectively worthless in the beginning and Evan was able to buy his coins on the cheap.
If he really was a scammer planning to dupe all us knaves, then he's the worst scammer in history. What scammer works nonstop for 3+ years developing a project, when he had the opportunity to dump all his coins in May 2014 for an enormous profit? It doesn't even make any sense, folks.
yes it was a bad thing, it was not an accident, there was information blackout and he had motive to do that as stated here
DASH Masternodes - the perfect motive for the instamine ..
so he and his friends accumulated outrageous amounts of coins....he didn't dupe their inner circle all right

, which some of them are actively shilling DASH from early 2014 to present.
