I think bitcoin could make crime lesser but could not prevent it. Because there are still many crimes when it comes to trading of bitcoins. Like scamming, hacking, frauding, etc. Which all of those are cyber crimes.
Bitcoin cannot completely prevent crime. It can be kept under control. In the mean while governments can make changes to eliminate crimes if bitcoin would be officially adopted as the main currency of the country.
