Martingale only works with an enormous credit to go through a bad phase. The problem is that only the strategy is profitable, where you have to double your stake in loss. Even if you take 1 Satoshi as an initial investment, you have to set 1024 Satoshi at 10 wrong throws in a row. And ten wrong throws in a row are not uncommon. With 20 wrong throws it is already over one million Satoshi which one must invest.
I haven't found any betting strategy for dice that makes a profit. I've tried variations of martingale and I always lose in the end. The bottom line is that you can't really change the odds with any betting strategy. You just have to quit while you are ahead.
