so bitcoin does not, and probably never will, fit into any existing legal system.
Math doesn't need to fit into legal systems. Legal systems need to fit into Math! 
Its like asking why is Ludwig van Beethovens Ninth Symphony beautiful. If you don't see why, someone can't tell you. I know numbers are beautiful. If they aren't beautiful, nothing is.
