It has been proven that blockchains can not be changed easily, as they are made to be resilient. Hope you are not waiting to see that Bitcoin's blocksize will be increased, or are you? This is very unlikely. Every hardfork is super dangerous, because you can easily end up with 42 million Bitcoins (A+B), instead of 21m. So let us do it right. We will be quicker then Ethereum's development. We already have a Testnet which works. And no other blockchain so far can scale.
