Anyway on your question (statement) why people don't get Bitcoin... I just talked to my stepdad about this again. He is still a skeptic and his argument for more money going towards BTC is "people don't know where else to spend it". Haha, right...
Just goes to show that I either suck at explaining its revolutionary aspect (yeah maybe but I doubt I am THIS bad) but also it is a complex and totally NEW tech, that takes time to comprehend and if a person is lacking the willingness to put some effort in understanding, all time trying to explain or convince someone is wasted.
Same goes if you wanted to explain why email is so great 25 or 30 years ago to someone. They'll look at you and say, "well I got a telephone, so this is faster and more direct and if it needs to be written down we have a well functioning post office system."
