Hi Everyone, I am sure this has been asked a thousand times. I am holding some ICN, got in rather late and above the price it is now. I am wondering if someone can give me some information on ICNX and how I obtain ICNX as well. Do I have to wait for the platform release now?
Yes, you will have to wait for the platform release which should be quite soon. It is currently being beta tested with more testers being added until the public release.
Do you have any evidence of this? Since when do developers decide what exchanges trade what anyway, especially in crypto-space?
Exchanges usually won't list something unless they have communication with the dev team and dev team gives them the green light.
In fact, exchanges like Bittrex, Poloniex, and Kraken want KYC from a team member before they list something. So obviously if developer says "wait, don't list it yet" then they're not going to list it.
Smaller exchanges like Liqui (or maybe it's because they're in Ukraine, not USA like the aforementioned three) will list things without approval of team.
I have heard it is not listed on Poloniex because it is considered a security which means Poloniex as a US company must register with the SEC.
In other words Polo cannot legally list ICN. Is this true?
Probably the 20th time I've said this, but Poloniex, Bittrex, and Kraken are all three USA exchanges that listed ETH-dividend-paying DAO tokens, so the SEC FUD is getting pretty old by now.
SEC even said in their ETF rejection statement that A) crypto is mostly unregulated B) they don't have power over crypto businesses located outside US
