I agree with some of yours ideas. But I would explain my story in the Game.
- When I started I wanted to be a miner or crafter. Then I started to mine but quickly I had a problem , not enought space to stock my mining. and the ore that I want.
- Then I bought some BP to craft something. I started crafting but it is not better , because not enought storage. And I need to sell very cheap to empty my storage.
- Then I try colonize planet and Jumping to increase my skills.
My ideas to improve the game:
1) After some points in the skills , you can not have more than 1 ship in a station.
2) You need to colonize one planet
2.1) Possibility to buy a empty storage , and increase the size with some craft ( Storage Box crafted with Iron Plate , Copper Plate)
2.2) Make storage size global , not by row. Example : 100 ... 200 ... 300 ... 1000 , 1000 is very small for a miner/crafter.
2.3) storage size global is better for database , less record.
2.4) Some items can count for more that 1 size. Example : 1 Reactor can be 10 size.
2.5) Then we need less Trucker for storage , less planet too.
3) Possibility to sell in market (sell order ) by bulk ( Sell 100 , 500 , 1000 ) -> less record in database
3.1) Study the case of used items , can not sell by bulk because not same durability.
4) Possibility to repair items ( New skills ) with some crafted components.
5) Possibility to make research ( simple research , to have some core BP , to increase the craft , decrease time , etc...
5.1) yours BP ( that you know ), can have value 1 to 100 , 1 = beginner , 100 Master
6) Airshed for yours ships on your planet
Now we have the basics , to play the game ( A least for Miners / Crafter )
This is just my ideas
