Why do I see so many calls for implementing distributed Bitcoin exchanges or putting up more robust/centralized Bitcoin exchanges when we will soon have Ripple, which perfectly provides distributed order books?
Because 'soon' is not 'now'.
I would prefer many smaller markets. For example, localized markets that would only allow people from a certain country. Or markets which charge for membership but have a higher security profile with vpn access only for example.
