yes I think so. At the beginning there's no taxation and now, as time passes governments invent more and more taxes, most of them are pretty baseless 
Corruption increases every year and therefore, the government need more taxes. In addition, in many countries of the world begin to crumble the pyramids of solidary pension system.Before we speak of corruption in the government it is better if we check and understand how a country makes its budget. People who are not working in the government does not see how it is hard to finance and fund any projects and all they do is complain but never verify how the funds of the government is allocated. Though we cannot deny that there are some corruptions in the government but let us not all blame to the government since even the citizens do not pay the proper taxes and other does not work and just rely on the governments welfare and services.
