Old money always stays within old money and are grandfathered down the bloodline. 
I was always curious what happen when there is someone in the dynasty who doesn't care for money...
They generally die an horrific, accidental death at a relatively young age or they are kidnapped and brainwashed or are written out of the will on the bulk of the estate and set up with a trust fund.
