Well yes, i think the natural level of bitcoin should be around $2000 but there were a lot of bad news about bitcoin which made the price drop a little in my opinion.

Still, holding up quite nicely considering all the hard fork speculation and all the new regulations that the Chinese central bank has placed on major Chinese exchanges. The price is just hovering around $1080 right now which means that it is around $200 cheaper than the All time high.

I can say that it is a great time to buy, even with the upcoming fork.
