Buybacks are a bad move compared to dividends..
Why on earth would you think so?
NuShares did something similar and it ended up being a disaster (just in case you guys think this is the first time a crypto has done buybacks, it's NOT). It centralizes all the value inside of ICN. When you were getting dividends in Ethererum, your value was gained outside of the ICN network - which is good. Now if something goes wrong with ICN all value is going to be gone.
I guess you can just slowly sell your ICN as the price rises to avoid the risk..
What is NuShares ? Also they dont have a fixed amount of coins on the market like ICN. ICN is limited to 100M. NuShares is POS and have an inflation rate higher. Even if you were getting ETH, we were still being centralised. Since ICN is a token on ethereum network. ICNX invest in different crypto. There should be a crypto disaster in all the coins ICN invested in for ICN to really fall to 0. I dont see any valid drawback that might occur because of the buy back ?
