i think the miner should consider to distribute their hashing power to other pools available

Thanks for stopping by slack and asking your question there as well. It's quite common for alts to have much more centralized mining power. In this case, that pool operator is a very trusted member of the community so there shouldn't be much to worry about. He would have to choose to be malicious with his pool's hashpower, and this is highly unlikely.

I'd say a half an hours worth of confirmations would be more than enough
I think Bittrex is using something like 1 hour though.
