The primary goal of BTC originally was to replace fiat currencies? As I recall, BTC creator(s) was looking for the freedom to not rely on a Central Bank as the "keeper" of BTC value. The ability to let the market decide its worth and applications, without governmental control.
Is this enough to replace a fiat currency? I don't think so because our world isn't developed enough yet to go totally digital on currencies.
I agree with you. In fact, only a small percentage of the world's population knows about the cryptocurrency. Therefore, the crypto currency will not soon catch up with the popularity of Fiat. And hardly ever replace the Fiat
