That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Of course that's not true. I've flown in an airplane. That has nothing to do with the earth being flat.

You can easily verify this with your own eyes with a telescope. Departing ships
DO sink over the horizon (not just get smaller), and the sun DOES set over
the horizon (not just get smaller)...and no amount of zoom will make them
visible.
I am guess you will not verify this for yourself because you're more interested
in your beliefs than the truth. You are too attached to being right about this.
