PayPal was not this popular at first, people thought of PayPal the same as they think of bitcoin right now, bitcoin is still a young and a new idea that needs more support.

The only reason PayPal started working is because it was able to convince central banks that it could bring them more dollars, and that was a good idea so they accept it and started promoting it and people started using it, and that is what we have to do, we need to let people know what makes bitcoin so good and profitable for everyone and only then bitcoin will become used by everyone.

Agree. We should spread out the word about Bitcoin, to help increase awareness so people could trust it in a way they do with PayPal. Since PayPal has been quite some time in the scene, banks, businesses, and merchants trust it more. But as Bitcoin matures and becomes scalable, it would gather the attention of more people into it, making it a well trusted payments solution for anyone to transact within.

I hope that more people would Bitcoin, as it gives them freedom to transact with anyone, anywhere and give you complete control of your money. Anyone can start accepting Bitcoin today, while with PayPal you would need to pass through certain verifications like ID, and more.

Yes,bitcoin can overcome paypal. In bitcoin, payment is irreversible and so merchants would prefer it.Transaction fees is also low in bitcoins.Transaction time taken is more and it has to be solved.User base of bitcoin is low compared to paypal and so user volume of bitcoin has to be increased. Most of my friends have shifted to bitcoin payment leaving paypal.

Exactly. It has so many advantages, that makes them attractive to merchants. There would be no ID verification, or age required to start accepting Bitcoin. Anyone can create a wallet today and get started accepting digital payments with very low fees. Plus, transactions get confirmed on an average of 30 minutes to 1 hour (sometimes a few more hours) making it much faster than traditional payment processors like Western Union and MoneyGram.

While Bitcoin is facing scalability issues, I believe that consensus would be reached to help it become a better cryptocurrency for anyone to transact quickly. Just my opinion.  Smiley
