First Snapchat investor says Bitcoin will be worth $500,000 dollars by 2030
Their argument is based on a growing usage for transferring money across borders and countries.

I personally think this is a little far fetched, although I never had the money or knowledge to invest in snapchat.
Perhaps I am not best qualified then to comment.

I know you guys are more knowledgeable than me, so let me know your views!

If this really is the case, even if BTC is worth 1/10th of that, its worth holding that fraction of Bitcoin for the future.

Will this cause more people to hold coins?

Any Whales out there thinking that they will finally be able to buy themselves a little Island all to themselves Cheesy

All I could say is that the speculation itself is crazy since there is the slim chance of bitcoin reaching 500,000 US dollars each by 2030 since I think 2030 is too early unless there would be some kind of a good news that will drive BTC's price to the extreme making a new ath at 500,000 US dollar before the year 2030 ends. 1/10th of the speculation price might be reached but we can't know for sure maybe by that time bitcoin would only be worth 10,000 US Dollars and not even 1/10th of the speculated price.
