The version that says that there is a finite number of believers, where it has been pre-selected before the creation. And these are the only people who would believe what is the truth.

That sounds like a good version. God never elects anyone to Hell. He leaves that to the person, himself... even though many do not know that this is what they are doing when they reject God.
