I think Hexx was initialy different coin, but later accepted zoin code and changed some params. Hexx was traded at nice rates for some time.
Yes, That's corect . Zoin is only used for CPU miners so it's quite good and no much inflation. I like this algo and all investors do not worry about this inflation so They can buy more coins to hold it for long-term period.
For me Zoin is one of coins I am thinking about long term with price climb. I am buying coins for later and we will see.

if you want to invest put just the amount of money that you can afford to loose, because without dev it's hard to gain from your investment, i personally invested some BTC s on this coin but after the bad news i can't invest anymore.
i will wait for a while and if no improvement i will sell all.
