Although it would be stupid² to have a fortune in crypto on your machine AND brag about it in large red letters, you have a point.
Forking is part of the game, closed source is highly suspicious.

If you read the responses you would know this software isn't closed source. I just change variable names. The source is at www.davtonia.com/BitHalo/HaloOBF.zip

There are instructions for building and a config file that defaults the client to BitBay.
