Or one good question, why you need AV on mashine what is used for mining?
Every AV can take 30-40% of your CPU so i would not have AV there.

This is simply not true! Antivirus is a must on every device connected to the internet.


No, what you said isn't true - AV is near worthless if you know what you're doing.

It's also useless for other reasons.
1) general invasiveness of A/V may lead to harm of your PC more often than not
2) CPU resources, HD resources and wearing off moving parts wasted
3) It actually does nothing for the most dangerous shit out there, but can provide false sense of security

From my professional experience with PCs (likely longer than the lifetime of some of the AV advocates here) the only time I had a real virus was in 2003, when win2k had an RPC hole massively exploited. Also it was at the same time that I had corporate machines (IBM thinkpads) with AV pre-installed... well and obviously it did nothing to prevent the infection...

EDIT: And I'm not even talking about intentional false positives, 'viruses' exclusively caught by a certain AV sw and the rest.
