It just dawned on me that I didn't respond to this part of your post.

We want to have it so that the masternodes need to have 10,000 Terracoin in your wallet for each masternode.  That amount will drop by 1,000 Terracoin per month until it gets to 1,000 Terracoin.  We aren't sure if we can do this yet, but that is what we want.

The reasoning behind this is that we don't want a whale to be able to spam the masternodes right off the bat and ruin the voting.

We don't want to keep it at 10,000 Terracoin forever because Terracoin really should be worth at least a couple of US dollars (I still think it should be worth more then Litecoin.)  If it was worth 2 dollars then it would cost $20,000 USD to set up a masternode, which is pretty expensive.

DASH's masternodes cost like $72,000 USD and so no normal person can get in on the rewards or the voting which isn't really fair.

If Terracoin was worth 3 dollars and it took 1,000 Terracoin to set up a masternode that is still pretty high, but at least a small group of people could get together $3000 worth of TRC to get a masternode going.
