The risk of investing to bitcoins is higher than before since the price difference from the first it started is quite huge and it can increase much more. Unless you can predict and know how to play the price or how stable the price is, the lower the risk it can affect you. Mind you there is always risk in almost everything and you can't just eliminate them. Nothing is absolute.
I agree that now the risk to invest in bitcoin is much higher. Nobody can predict the price and in case of a fall you can lose everything.
but for people which believe that bitcoin price will going to up, then they will not thinking about the risk because they buy bitcoin as their investment and they know that every investment is always going up and down. so they will stay calm even if the price is down than the price they bought, they only use bitcoin as a long term investment. but for most of people, they will be panic when they see the price is getting lower and they are sold their bitcoin to cut the loss.
