Today a representative from the electric company installed new meters and flipped the switch on our solar array.  We are now producing solar power!
Thats really cool!

Do you usually have a surplus of power does it normally only cover a part of your usage?

It's too early to say definitively.  I've only had stats for 1 day and we're having overcast weather at the moment.  That being said, using the estimates I have available, it should produce about 2/3's of the annual power this operation uses.  



Over the last 24 hours, 81% of the energy used by our miners was generated from the solar array.
