Official or not, they've paid icocountdown to put up this ANN and also to be listed by icocountdown. And I don't think icocountdown will just come up with the materials & write up for this announcement.

The owners should hire a community manager who could handle this thread, answer people's question and clarify things.
otherwise there will be lots of mess and negativity will be created. the better work on it.
