Exciting News!

Someone is also testing our Native Decentralize Exchange with atomic swaps and the liquidity provider (LP) nodes it will be using. jl777 has been testing the liquidity providers that create the liquidity for the decentralized exchange. Usually the atomic swap happens through his own test nodes, but in this case it appears that also someone else was running such a node.

it seems during my testing, i did an atomic swap with a node that is not mine!

to my knowledge, this is the first time for this to happen

More on this please. Instructions? Are we allowed to test yet?

You can run a LP node.. pad.supernet.org/LP-node

also will it provide me with a reward for doing this?

jl777 May 3, 2017 11:26
LP nodes make bid/ask spreads as profit

alex May 3, 2017 11:36
so running an LP node is the only way (except of the notary nodes) to contribute to Komodo running a server-side component

alex May 3, 2017 11:37
which repository do I need to build to run an LP node?

jl777 May 3, 2017 11:38
need both the komodo and SuperNET repo for LP node. tradebots is the channel for that

alex May 3, 2017 11:40

So https://github.com/nanomsg/nanomsg
https://github.com/jl777/komodo
https://github.com/jl777/SuperNET ?

jl777 May 3, 2017 11:40
those should be all the repos needed

alex May 3, 2017 11:40
cool, thanks
is nanomsg such a custom dependency that you cannot get it through a regular package manager?

jl777 May 3, 2017 11:42
no
you can do that too
for a while the latest 1.0.0 wasnt available except via nanomsg repo

alex May 3, 2017 11:42
libnanomsg-dev/xenial,xenial 0.5~beta+dfsg-1 amd64
libnanomsg0/xenial,xenial 0.5~beta+dfsg-1 amd64
are the packages in Ubuntu 16.04.02 but I’d need >v1.0?

jl777 May 3, 2017 11:43
well maybe not all repos are updated
1.0.0 is indeed needed

alex May 3, 2017 11:43
ok, thanks a lot
I am running already two Wave, and a NEM node
and hopefully soon at least one Komodo node

jl777 May 3, 2017 11:44
just start with a normal komodod node
after you are doing it, then LP node can be setup
