If war does break out, you really don't care if Russia wins or NATO wins. The world will be a big loser.
And it doesn't matter if your wealth is in bitcoins or in gold, there is a chance that you may not be alive to enjoy it.

If the war is between Russia and the NATO, and if you are living in some other country, then the chances are that you will survive the war. Countries such as Brazil and Argentina refused to participate in the WW2. And their economy grew a lot after the war.
More just after the second world war developed the German economy. This country was completely destroyed and was able not only to recover but is now one of the leading places in the world. Maybe for a country to be developed it is necessary to destroy?
It's not like that. Germany always had good economy, before and after the war. Berlin suffered a lot during the war, but Southern Germany did not.
Looking back we can see that countries under the influence of communism rebuilt much slower than the rest. Look how Bulgaria and Hungary are doing, they are in much worse condition than the Netherlands, Sweden, or Belgium. I'm purposely not comparing them to France or Spain, because of the differences in land and population.

Another interesting aspect is neutrality. It seems waving white flag can sometimes be a good idea. We all know how France fought during the war, their courage is a popular theme for jokes, but people forget about many other countries, like the mentioned Netherlands and Belgium, who gave up the moment they saw the Germans marching towards them.
Why so far to see. After the second world war, East Germany was under the occupation of the Soviet Union. It's been over 20 years since the fall of the Berlin wall, but they never reached the level of West Germany.
