Also it depends on how much you are going to invest. Because if you are able to invest in mining rig then it's very possible that you can earn more. But mining nowadays is not more profitable. You can now try to mine alt coins but choose only those alt coin that is very profitable.
Yeah mining bitcoins doesn't make any sense now so its better to mine altcoins that have good reputation so I will prefer to mine etc, eth and xmr as those are the coins that will survive in long term.
Good thing that there's an alternative for mining. And if you want to keep on mining you can just simply mine those coins and I prefer to mine with Zec it's profitable as my friends are telling me. But I'm still into saving my capital because the amount needed is that high. After mining, just sell it when the price of bitcoin is high or you can see it's profitable.
Many say cloud mining is a scam because many are using the HYIP system and to make rig mining requires quite expensive equipment, I think to altcoin/ico better investment than mining.
