Im interested to know how many people are actually now involved in the bitcoin world, Is there anyway to find out a rough idea of the user base so that we can come to a conclusion on what kind of adoption we are currently at? It seems difficult to gauge since this forum alone has several duplicate accounts from the same people.

. /r/bitcoin has 180k subs to it so would it be safe to assume if we included all miners, users holders and whoever else that we are still at under 1 million users? If this is the case then we still have a long way to go.

Does anyone have any more accurate guesses or way to determine the market?

In roughly estimation I would say it should be more than that and I think it is still counting until now. Base on research of 2016 you can check in here => http://www.coindesk.com/2016-bitcoin-challenge-100-million-users/ there are 100 million people who are using bitcoin which this alone is the most common cryptocurrency out in the market but let alone the LTC , ETH, and other cryptocurrency added to this I would say roughly 1 billion users and counting, that just small percentage of around the world. Today's population is 7.5 billion so we still have a long way to share the cryptocurrency world, we still have a very very long way to go. there is no exact numbers on how many people are using cryptocurrency but what we know is that it is still counting until and and soon the cryptocurrency will be the future and will be known around the world.  Wink
