hey everyone, i have been learning and researching about making new alt coins and also about resurrecting old coins and one thing i have not yet been able to find info on is nodes, how does one make/run one? what if i want to bring a coin back that has no connections and so i cannot download the block chain or find a copy of the blockchain, do i just set up a node for it and get it that way or do i mine the coin to get the block chain how does this work?
I think if the coin is "dead" and all nodes are down than you're basically starting from scratch. There's really no way to get the blockchain at that point.
