hey everyone, i have been learning and researching about making new alt coins and also about resurrecting old coins and one thing i have not yet been able to find info on is nodes, how does one make/run one? what if i want to bring a coin back that has no connections and so i cannot download the block chain or find a copy of the blockchain, do i just set up a node for it and get it that way or do i mine the coin to get the block chain how does this work?
If there are no running nodes that means that you can't get any transactions that were in the past. Although you should be able to run it with few nodes but I think that then you will need to start from scratch. I am not super tech guy but this should be possible just to run nodes and start the coin from its 1st block.
You make a node simply by running core wallet on your PC (desktop/laptop etc.). Full node is when you are running it 24/7.
