gambling becomes addictive when user gets unexpected winning, that too large sum easily Keep the people under the wings to spend more even on experiencing continued fail after a big win.
To get addicted with gambling, the gambler does not need to win big but just hearing such a big winning of other gambler's itself makes them motivated to keep on playing. This type of gamblers are always getting greedy over time because they always want to win big again and again or want to copy how other gamblers are going.

Not only gambling everywhere addiction happens.
Yes, every where it happens because being greedy is a common characteristics of all human and we are not getting into the practice of controlling it, that must be the prime reason for it.

Greed is a human nature. Humans are creatures who are never satisfied with what they already have. But still it does not mean we respond casually to the people who are greedy in everything. There is a positive greed, such as never satisfied with our learning outcomes, dissatisfied with our test results. But greed in gambling is a bad thing, it will be hard to control if we gamble too often.
I agree on what you have said theres also an positive side of being greedy which means we arent contented on a particular situation or thing. It depends if its on a good intention or on bad but if we are already talking about gambling which really talks about money then greed of money does really come out and we cant really avoid that thing because it would really come out no matter what it does depend on a certain person on how he gonna handle it to avoid bad consequences ahead.
