I'm seeing DOGE in a lot of people's top 3 for this year... Why?
LTC, DOGE and MOON are classic and well-known coins.
Many addresses, a lot of people remember them.
Crypto is not only about a technology and companies and ICOs.
It's also about fairness and about common people who can be their own bank and not depend on governnments etc. when sending money.
People forgot about decentralization ideas after successfull ICO projects.
Do you remember the spirit of 2013-2014?

yes, DOGE and MOON were both born in Dec, 2013 and were very famous then.
DOGE is quite well known, MOON is now not famous.
You could not say that. Dogecoin is really very well known coin now,
the problem with MOON that after Cryptsy exchange crash in 2016 (MOON had big volume/liquidity there),
other big exchanges didn't list it (it was time when ICO projects flooded the market and exchanges focused on ICOs).
So despite of all support from the community for years (MOON has 5 independent block explorers, implemented innovations, written from scratch, real use cases etc.), no big exchanges yet.
However, if any of big exchanges list MOON, it can be very interesting move.
Anyway the community will support MOON, with or without money, like it's doing it since 2014 when an original Mooncoin dev had disappeared (your topic starter is also inactive? BTW he used to post in the Mooncoin ANN thread before).
