VeriCoin and Verium are seperate blockchains/coins and both have their own wallets.

VeriCoin (VRC) is a PoS coin with it's own wallet.
Verium (VRM) is a PoW coin with it's own wallet + mining.

If you only wanna mine Verium you don't need the VeriCoin wallet.

Which wallet are you trying to setup?
