These people find all sort of excuses. The biggest joke was a gay Muslim's excuse about sodomy. He was saying that having sex with boys are OK, as they don't have beard. Anyone without a beard is a female, and therefore having sex with them is not contradictory to Islam.
IIRC this is not "a joke," but accepted cultural practice in Afganistan and specifically promulgated by certain FATWAs.
