development is going more or less right on schedule. by the end of the day i should have a working file sharing test going assuming i didn't mess up the P2P messaging too bad. I did develop it on a separate network because the current ECC clients are missing a lot of code and it was faster to make a new chain for testing instead of waiting for enough people to update. so a demo (or demo video) should be out by wednesday night and then some announcements about getting it into the ECC blockchain itself will follow.
for fees for doing file stuff, i was thinking of using the same KB fee system as it would be to send a transaction (larger file larger fee just like larger transaction larger fee). thoughts on that?
If you recording the data on the blockchain, then yes... incentive that. Otherwise the cost should be somehow related to the amount of changes (metadata) and not directly involved with the data volume.
