What they really need is guns to overthrow their government. Considering that most Venezuelans are struggling to make $10-$20 a month, It's not surprising that they are left with just poo weapons.
They can't overthrow an elected government. That is not the right way. Maduro was democratically elected in 2013, and the next elections are due in 2018. His opponents will have to wait until then.
Well, if a revolution do indeed happen, it's not like the government can just say "hey, but we're democratically elected!". The government serves at the pleasure of the people and this government clearly is not doing its job and people are being forced to eat cats. Seriously, not even the gastronomically adventurous Chinese eat those.
